Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information VibeEdit Pro ("we", "us") collects when you use vibeeditpro.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. We only collect what we need to run the Service, and we do not sell your personal information.

VibeEdit Pro is based in Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where it applies, Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). By using the Service, you consent to the collection, use and sharing of your information as described here.

• Account details: your name and email address, and your password (stored only in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
• Your content: the videos, audio and images you upload, the projects you create, and the files you export. We also store things we generate from them, such as transcripts, captions and thumbnails.
• Billing details: if you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and plan, but we never see or store your full card number.
• Messages: if you contact us, we receive your name, email address and message.
• Technical data: basic server logs (such as pages requested and error messages) that help us keep the Service secure and fix problems.

• to run AI features you choose to use, such as transcription, captions, hook rewrites, thumbnails and performance scores;
• to process payments and manage subscriptions;
• to reply to your messages and support requests;
• to keep the Service secure and working properly.

We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

• Hosting and cloud storage — to run the app and store your files securely.
• AI and video-processing providers — to transcribe audio, generate text and render videos when you use those features.
• Stripe — to process payments.
• Google — if you choose to sign in with Google, and to show ads (Google AdSense) on some public pages.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

Storage outside Canada: some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there, it is protected by contracts with those providers but is subject to the laws of that country, and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement or national security authorities.

We do not send marketing emails. We only email you about your account or to reply to messages you send us.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms against misuse. Some public pages (such as the blog) show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads and measure them, including ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google's Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com), and learn more at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

We keep your account and files while your account is active. You can delete uploaded files from your library at any time. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your personal information and files, except where we must keep some records by law (for example billing records).

Passwords are hashed, connections use HTTPS, and files are stored with a major cloud provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent (for example by deleting your account). We can also delete your information or send you a copy. To make a request, use our Contact page and choose "Account or billing". We aim to reply within 30 days.

If you are not happy with how we handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Alberta, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta (oipc.ab.ca).

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
